A lifelong desire to learn more about God and how to hear from God has brought me to this vocation. As a child, I pondered the nature of my relationship with God. I grew up in a small rural working-class church where it was common to hear people discussing their conversations with God. Members reported each Sunday, “how God had said this or that to them or had “told them to tell someone a message.” I listened to them and wondered why God talked to some and did not talk to others? What does it mean to listen to God or to hear God’s voice amid a busy and confusing world? In 2014, I graduated from the Diploma in the Art of Spiritual Direction at San Francisco Theological Seminary in San Anselmo, CA. It is a three-year commitment to classes, spiritual practices, and contemplative listening. I am open to working with people across faith traditions who are seeking to explore their relationship with the Divine.
